Issue Position

I support the concept of Cap and Trade. I do not support Cap and Trade for Environmental, Global Warming or Climate Change reasons but rather for long term economic purposes. I support government financing for the development of alternative energy sources and significant energy conservation policies. In addition I support increased exploration and production of US Oil Resources.

I am concerned that if we do not increase domestic oil production soon, as the economy approaches full employment, oil prices, and eventually gasoline prices, will sky rocket, eventually threatening the strength of the recovery.
